A governorship aspirant in Osun State  on the platform of the Alliance for Democracy Hon.  Femi Kehinde, F.K, has declared that the present situation in the state has become precarious that needed divine intervention.

Addressing the stakeholders of the party in Osogbo , the former House of Representatives member observed that the present administration in the state had allegedly destroyed the state through its policies and programme. His words: “In education for instance,  Aregbesola’s administration had completely destroyed it. There is no other state in the federation that operate elementary, middle and high schools policies. There is also no other state in the country where a public holiday is declared for the traditional worshippers except Osun”. “I will change the educational policy of the state to operate the same policy with other states in the country by the time I become the governor of this state. Elementary school,  middle school and High school system are strange in the country. We are going to change the state, we will bring it back to God because we are presently far away from God. No other state declared holiday for traditionalists except Osun State”, he added. Hon. Kehinde also condemned Governor Aregbesola for his failure to pay workers their full salaries and other emolument as at when due adding that such attitude was wicked. He said that next year’s governorship election will not be won on the basis of the political parties the candidates belong to but purely the individual personality. “If you look at the outcome of the last senatorial bye-election for Osun West district,  you will discover that it is no longer the parties’ business but the candidates’ pedigree. Hon. Kehinde who is a legal practitioner stressed that for the state to come out of its present economic problem, it has to return to Agriculture which was the main source of income for the Western Region when the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo was in government. He advised his numerous party members not to be discouraged by the number of people in the AD in the state, stressing that when Action Group, AG, was formed in the first republic only very few people were with Chief Awolowo, before others started to join him.
