CENYED's Initiative Approach On Youth Policy In Rivers State



Pondering on the surrounding situation limiting the involvement and development of the Nigeria youths in the country's social, economic and political activities. Centre for youth entrepreneurship development which is an NGO with a group of youths in Rivers State who has a goal interest of finding ways to bridge the gap of inactively underdeveloped system that has inherently disconnected and neglected the concerns of youths not only in the Niger Delta but nationally. The fast rising NGO with its member group as well as other partners on the 4th of july, deliberated on the most Paramount issues that lingers the growth of the youths nationally as they reviewed the National Youth Policy of 2009, thereby looking at the  educational system of the country and its role in the development of youths in Rivers State as it extends to other states, the definition of the age brakect of the youths and their involvement and participation in the decision making and implementation areas that concerns the various sectors of the economy as well as in the political activities were looked at as they initiated ways in which the youths themselves can be sanitized and made conscious of their rights and obligations as they are expected to massively input their potentials and abilities into making the best out of the the little opportunity that is availed in the state and creating even more bigger avenue that will aid in the development of other youths.
